On May 17th the Constitution of Norway was signed at Eidsvoll, declaring that Norway was finally an independent nation. Traditionally, Norweigians don their best springwear or tradtional dress, and decorate streets with bunting and flags. As well as being a celebration of everything Norway, the 17th of is also the day students in the last year of secondary school celebrate the end of 13 years long years of schooling with parades and processions and brightly decorated clothing and cars covered in adolescent scrawl.
