To Market, To Market
It’s October, hurtling towards 2014, and the Street Food trend shows no signs of fatigue. This weekend, if you’re heading down to Westfield for a mid-season bargain or show stopping new dress, give the food hall the day off and try one of the ten food trucks that will take over Market Square.
Each truck will be serving a range of dishes from succulent smoked meats expertly dissected by’BBQ Lab’ to iconic offerings from’Baba G’s’ selection of big hitting, Indian spiced burgers and innovative curries. Festival favourites,’The Duck Truck‘s’ mass of fans will no doubt be out in their droves looking for crispy, aromatic wraps and duck scotch eggs and’Bunnychow’ will be serving their popular “loafs†filled with big global flavours; sure to warm the October crowds. With prices from £3.50, shoppers, street food enthusiasts and locals should bring a good appetite as the toughest decision will be deciding which truck to eat from.
The event will focus on the post-work crowd on Friday night, with music and drinks provided by brewer and bar, Tap East. Both Saturday and Sunday will offer a relaxed vibe, giving families and locals the chance to tuck into a variety of street food without having to fight over who wants what.
