Cocktails in the City, London’s premier summer cocktail festival, is back with the second instalment of The Summer Series set in stunning Bedford Square Gardens, London’s largest private Georgian garden on 23rd – 24th July.
With many Brits taking a staycation this summer, ‘A World of Cocktails’ has been created to transport guests to the farthest reaches of the globe.
Cocktails in the City will be bringing flavours of the world to London with cocktails, international culture, games and innovative experiences.
From The Americas to Europe and Asia in just a few short sips, guests of Cocktails in the City will discover a whole world of flavours mixed together by London’s leading bartenders as they combine exotic and esoteric ingredients from the four corners of the earth.
Guests can grab a taste of Mexico with mezcal, a sense of Scandinavian from Nordic aquavit or journey to the far east with Japanese awamori whilst enjoying a marching Mariachi band local cuisines and indigenous games of skill including Kentucky Cornhole, Nordic Kubb and crazy golf sensations Swingers.
Wannabe mixologists can step up to the bar and have a crack at interactive cocktail making with TT liquor whilst the maestros from Piano Works will be providing the music all weekend. In keeping with the ‘A World of Cocktail’ theme, a range of international gastronomy will be available from sizzling Mexican BBQ courtesy of Café Pacifico to rustic Italian pastas from Officina 00.
Those looking to cool off will have the opportunity to experience complimentary whisky and ice cream flavour pairings with drinks writer and journalist Millie Milliken.
Or discover the tips and tricks of the London Cocktail Club with the author of Kitchen Cocktails and co-owner of London Cocktail Club, JJ Goodman.
Environmentalists and foragers can explore the art of sustainable cocktail making through masterclasses on how to upcycle household ingredients into sustainable garnishes and syrups.
This year’s event will prioritise zero-waste cocktails and carbon positive spirit brands. Guests can also enjoy tasting tours of Rums Around The World with Georgi Radev of Laki Kane and A Taste of Mexico with Cafe Pacifico.

Each pop-up bar has partnered with an internationally renowned and respected spirit brand creating an oasis of nationalities and cultures to enjoy in one afternoon.
Guests can take a trip to Oriole for Jamaican inspired Appleton Estate serves via Kosmopol and their Nordic infusion using Bareksten or sample opulent Japanese cocktails with Giulio Amodio from Chinatang as part of the United Kingdom Bartenders Guild bar.
Cocktails in the City will be working in support of the hospitality industry, continuing to raise money for the The Drinks Trust through raffles and donations. The drinks industry charity that provides support and opportunity to the people who form the drinks industry workforce.
