Espolòn tequila encourages you to embrace the unconventional and celebrate Modern Mexico by making a traditional Mexican tequila serve, the Sangrita on National Tequila Day 24th July

A perfectly balanced combination of spice and citrus, the Sangrita is a short tomato-based drink paired with a neat measure of tequila blanco.

Originating from Guadalajara, Mexico, the Sangrita is enjoyed by alternately sipping the Sangrita and the tequila. Originally made using the leftover juices from the Pico De Gallo eaten at breakfast, the Sangrita is an intricate blend of ingredients which can be tailored to your own taste buds.

The recipe combines orange juice, lime juice, tomato juice, and pomegranate juice, with hot sauce for a spicy kick that accentuates the tasting notes of pepper, vanilla bean, grilled pineapple and spice in Espolòn Tequila Blanco.

A bottle of alcohol and two glasses of liquid

As seen in Vogue last month, tomato-based cocktails are ‘What to Drink Right Now’, and Espolòn have the perfect serve combining tequila and tomato, to delight those tomato-loving-taste buds.

Espolòn Tequila currently has two tequilas in the UK, the Tequila Blanco and the Tequila Reposado. Both are created using 100% Pure Blue Weber agave and deliver a perfectly smooth and balanced taste profile.

Whether served neat, mixed into a classic tequila-based cocktail, or served alongside a Sangrita, these versatile tequilas are made for the rebellious revellers celebrating this National Tequila Day.
