Ambassade de l’Ile – the recently opened London outpost of two Michelin-starred Jean-Christophe Ansanay-Alex’s Auberge de l’Ile in Lyon – has introduced a range of special menus for its private dining room for the forthcoming festive season.
With menus starting at just £100 – including for four courses, a glass of champagne, red and white wine, mineral water and service – the restaurant offers the perfect solution for top level business or personal entertaining during the busy lead up to Christmas.
There is also an inclusive menu at £135 for five courses and one with seven courses at £170. Dishes include JC’s Lyonnais specialities such as scallop with gold leaf and finest Luberon black truffle; duck foie gras au Torchon served with toasted brioche and quince ketchup; breast of chicken stuffed a la Royale with foie gras and truffle, served with root vegetables and civet sauce; and fillet of line caught sea bass with fondant potato, clams and béarnaise sauce.
The Purple Room offers a unique private dining experience as two of its walls are made of glass, revealing the restaurant’s extensive cellar of fine wines. The clever design of the main restaurant also allows for a number of separate dining areas and the Long Room can seat up to 24.
Bookings for the Purple Room and the special Christmas menus are for a minimum of ten guests. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, Monday to Saturday inclusive.
