Every party needs elegant canapés to serve alongside the fizz, so whether you want a cheesy nibble or fancy a throw-back to the 70’s with a Devilled Egg, these make-ahead savoury bites are just perfect. 

Goats’ Cheese & Rosemary Bites 

The perfect savoury bite for a festive or New Year’s Eve party and can be made well in advance, so you can focus on having fun with friends and family. With the creamy goats’ cheese, light puff pastry and zingy rosemary jelly, party food doesn’t get much better than this. 

Makes: 18 – 20 

Prep and cook time: 40 mins 

Ingredients: 

320g all butter ready rolled puff pastry sheet 

½ jar Tracklements Zingy Rosemary Jelly 

Zest of ½ lemon 

140g hard goats’ cheese, finely grated 

Method: 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan/gas 6 
  • Take a sheet of ready rolled puff pastry and unroll. Spread a thin layer of rosemary jelly all over the pastry and evenly distribute the grated goats’ cheese. Make sure the filling reaches all corners of the pastry 
  • Starting from one of the long edges, roll the pastry up tightly to the centre then repeat from the other side 
  • Use the pastry paper to cover the pastry roll and pop in the freezer for 15 mins 
  • Use a sharp, floured knife to cut into 1cm slices and lay them flat on a parchment lined tray 
  • Leave a gap between each as they will spread during baking 
  • Bake in the pre-heated oven on the middle rack for 12-15mins until golden 

Devilled Eggs with Spitfire Chilli Mustard and Rich & Creamy Mayonnaise 

These Devilled Eggs, including a teaspoon, or two, of Spitfire Chilli Mustard for a fiery twist, are sure to get the Christmas party going. 

Makes: 24 

Prep and cook time: 20 mins 

Ingredients: 

12 large free-range eggs, at room temperature 4 tbsp Tracklements Rich & Creamy Mayonnaise 1–2 tsp Tracklements Spitfire Chilli Mustard 1 tsp sea salt flakes ¼ tsp paprika, plus extra for sprinkling Chives for sprinkling 

Method: 

  • Hard boil the eggs for about 10 mins. Allow to cool and cut in half 
  • Scoop out the yolk and mix thoroughly in a bowl along with Rich & Creamy Mayonnaise, Spitfire Chilli Mustard, paprika and salt 
  • Carefully spoon the mixture back into the egg whites and sprinkle with a little paprika and snipped chives
