This Christmas give a loved one a gift with someone else’s name on it, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.
Mr Jasper Newton’Jack’ Daniel registered his distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee in 1866, next to the cool, cave spring water at’the hollow’, which just happens to be perfect for making whiskey. Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey still comes from the same place today.
Mr. Jack’s whiskey still follows a process pioneered back in the 1800’s where the unaged whiskey is’mellowed’ drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal – a process called’The Extra Blessing’ which gives the whiskey its smoothness.
This extra step makes a bottle of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey just that, a Tennessee Whiskey and not a Bourbon.
Why not add a taste of Tennessee to the festivities, by mixing up a Jack Daniel’s cocktail?
Ingredients:
- 50 ml Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- Top with apple juice
- Apple slice dusted with cinnamon
Method:
- Add cubed ice to a highball glass and pour the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey glass
- Top with apple juice
- Garnish with an apple slice dusted with cinnamon
As it’s Christmas, why not try it hot?
Ingredients:
- 37.5 ml Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- 12.5 ml Triple sec
- 3 squeezes lemon wedges
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- Top with hot water
- Lemon, cloves and cinnamon stick to garnish
Method:
- Pour the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Triple sec into a cup
- Add the sugar and three squeezes of lemon wedges
- Top with hot water
- Garnish with lemon, cloves and a cinnamon stick
Ingredients:
- 37.5ml Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- 12.5ml Amaretto
- Top with chilled cola
- Orange wedge and cherry to garnish
Method:
- Add cubed ice to a highball glass
- Pour the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Amaretto into the glass
- Top with chilled cola
- Finally, garnish with orange wedge and cherry
Ingredients:
- 50ml Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- 25ml fresh lemon juice
- 15ml sugar syrup (1:1 ratio)
- Float 15ml port
- 1 egg white (optional)
- Lemon wedge
Method:
- Place all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until mixed and cold (if you use egg white, dry shake first)
- Add cubed ice into a rock glass and strain the liquid
- Drizzle the port on top
- Garnish with lemon wedge
Ingredients:
- 50ml Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- 15ml honey
- 3 dashes of Angostura Bitters
- Cinnamon stick, orange twist and star anise to garnish
Method:
- Add cubed ice to a rocks glass
- Pour Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Angostura Bitters, and honey into the glass
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick, orange twist and star anise
Ingredients:
- 37.5ml Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- 12.5ml Bénédictine (Galliano if not available)
- 10ml lemon juice
- 2 bar spoons apricot jam
- 2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
- Orange twist
- Sprig of mint
Method:
- Place all ingredients in a shaker and shake with ice until mixed and cold
- Add crushed ice into a highball glass and strain the liquid in
- Top with a twist of orange and mint sprig

- 50ml Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
- Top with chilled cola
- Dash of vanilla extract
- Orange wedge, cloves and cinnamon stick
Method:
- Add cubed ice to a highball glass
- Add 50ml of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and a dash of vanilla extract
- Top with cola
- Garnish with orange wedge, cloves and cinnamon stick
