2015 Young British Foodie Chef of the year Adam Rawson’spopup at The Sun & 13 Cantons in Soho now runs until Saturday 15th October. Adam is serving his award-winning burgers from the 2015 and 2016 Slider Decider competition as well as a special “Seven Wonders of the Culinary World†supperclub menu showcasing a dish from each of the countries he has explored this year.
The burger menu celebrates both of Adam’s winning burgers from the past two Slider Decider competitions, and will be offered at lunchtimes as well as Thursday and Friday evenings in the first week and every night in the second week.
The 2015 Pan Con Chicharron (aged Galician patty, smoked cheddar, aji rocotto ketchup, aji Amarillo mustard, salsa criolla & crispy pork) and 2016 Global Traveller (aged Galician mince, truffle aioli, wild rocket, gorgonzola, balsamic onions & pancetta) will both be available for pub visitors alongside triple-cooked onion aioli chips.
The “Seven Wonders of the Culinary World†supperclub will also take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday evenings with booking in advance via Grub Club.
Adam’s seven course tasting menu will guide diners through the hidden spice markets of Morocco to the fresh seas of Sardinia, from the salty shores of Croatia to the depths of the Basque country in Spain.
Featured dishes include Lamb & Golden Raisin Pastilla from Morocco, Baked Mussels & Gorgonzola from Sardinia and the Croatian specialty “Dark Chocolate & Liquid Goldâ€Â.
We had a chance to try the Seven Wonders and it’s an exciting set of dishes that inhabit a space between challenging and comforting, you may not like every one but you and your dining companions will differ on which. One thing is certain, you certainly won’t be bored.
