Kennington Tandoori, is hosting a Diwali extravaganza in their popular South London restaurant, on Wednesday 7th November, in celebration of the Hindu festival of lights.
Kennington Tandoori will be serving up traditional dishes including: a Classic Vegetable Plate – a feast of of spinach and fenugreek pakora, traditional vegetable samosa, and sigri paneer, with chutney & relish; Tandoori paneer & peas butter Masala – simmered in a speciality butter masala and Chowpati Potato Chaat – crisp potato, curried peas, and home made chutneys and many many more dishes.
To go alongside the traditional menu Kennington Tandoori will be offering a special one-off Diwali cocktail – a fiery Chilli Negroni – a spicy combination of Berry’s No 3 Gin, Kings Ginger, Lustau Red Vermut, orange bitters and toasted Kashmiri Chilli.
To finish off celebrations, Kennington Tandoori will be gifting all diners a spread of complimentary Indian petit fours to end the meal with some sweetness.
Visitors will enjoy handcrafted celebration mitai (indian sweets) which will include seven types of Barfis and Halwas.
Guests will be able to indulge in either almond, coconut, pistachio and rose Barfi and Anjeer Halwa (A combination of figs, nuts, raw cane sugar) Doodh Halwa (Made with milk curd infused with cardamom) and Habshi Halwa – the Crown Prince of Halwa desserts.
