India’s renowned festival of light – Diwali – lights up Westminster. From 24th October – 4th November, celebrate at Vivek Singh‘s iconic modern Indian restaurant The Cinnamon Club, located in the Grade II-listed Old Westminster Library, with a vibrant celebratory Diwali menu.
Priced at £48 per person, the four-course menu is filled with festival favourites, including a Tasting of Diwali appetiser with pithod, green pea kachori, lamb fillet or wild mushroom pickle on a wheat crisp, followed by starters such as lentil and curry leaf crusted plaice fillet. Rich char-grilled mallard breast with masala rice and smoky paprika raita is a stand-out main.
Sweet cravings will be satisfied with a silky smooth saffron pistachio kulfi served in a crisp rice vermicelli nest. To maximise the dining experience, this menu must be ordered by every diner at the table.
If you’re looking to celebrate in style, join The Cinnamon Club for lunch or dinner on Diwali itself, Sunday 30th October, where lunchtime guests can enjoy an exclusive performance from the Shama Rahman Trio, who play the sitar, guitar and tabla. The trio will set the scene with original compositions and traditional Indian music. Dinner guests will enjoy an enchanting evening where they will firstly be welcomed into the vibrant lobby illuminated by traditional oil burning candles, before dining in the restaurant by candlelight. Tables can be booked on The Cinnamon Club’s website – www.cinnamonclub.com.
Let the sounds, smells and tastes of Diwali inspire a prosperous year ahead with the celebratory menu at The Cinnamon Club.
