This festive season sees the restaurant introduce three limited-edition cocktails, alongside chocolate lava buns, and is now available at all three London locations.
Joining the cocktail list for December are Christmas Morning, Holly Night and Santa’s Courage, all best enjoyed in the bar area of the newly launched Din Tai Fung Centre Point.
Christmas Morning is a hot drink reminiscent of the classic Hot Toddy, with oolong tea and homemade oolong syrup adding a delicate Asian twist. A creation of Din Tai Fung Selfridges, the drink is served in a teapot in celebration of the traditional tea ceremony that forms such an integral part of both Asian and English cultures.
In addition to the oolong flavours, this tea also incorporates Riserva Speciale Rubino Vermouth and Deward’s 8 Illegal Smooth to create a special winter warmer.
The new Holly Night cocktail takes its name from its vibrant green colour, this refreshing and sour cocktail has been developed by Din Tai Fung Covent Garden and is the perfect way to kickstart the festive season.
Matcha cordial brings an Asian twist to this drink, while cinnamon and orange spray add a sprinkle of Christmas flavouring. The unique flavours are paired with Silver Patrón Tequila, green apple, orgeat syrup and ginger ale, and topped off with a maraschino cherry, creating a very Xmassy margarita.
Santa’s Courage cocktail is Centre Point’s latest creation, pairing Japanese Suntory Whisky Toki and Cointreau, and hints of Mozart Dark Chocolate Liqueur and Christmas syrup. It’s served with a chocolate-coated candied ginger for the perfect finishing touch.
Din Tai Fung has also launched a chocolatey twist on its signature egg custard buns, just in time for Christmas at all three of Din Tai Fung’s London restaurants. With a molten chocolate filling, the new addition Chocolate Lava Buns hits the hot spot.
