Italian fine-dining restaurant Enoteca Turi in Putney is celebrating autumn’s abundance of mushrooms by creating a Mushroom Week menu.
Enoteca Turi’s mushroom heavy menu will be available every evening from 11th to 16th October, priced at £25.50 for two courses and £29.50 for three.
Proprietor of Enoteca Turi, Giuseppe says: ‘Mushrooms play a great part in Italian cooking and funghi hunting is a common and thoroughly enjoyed activity by people of all ages across Europe. Being incredibly versatile, bursting with flavour and appealing to the eye, mushrooms are a delight to present within a dish. We hope that by offering this eclectic menu, both mushroom lovers and those who want to find out what the fuss is about can come together and experience something new.”
Just some of the delicious sounding dishes on the Mushroom Week menu are: Porcini trifolati with parmesan-coated deep-fried egg; Roast breast of pheasant, stuffed cabbage, polenta taragna and black trumpet mushrooms; Fillet of sea bass roasted with finferli, potato and white wine and Polenta and caramelised apple tart with vanilla sauce.
