10th April – The Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa’s Sussex Food Fayre.
The Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa in Midhurst, West Sussex www.hshotels.co.uk will be running a Food Fayre on the 10 April from 10am to 4pm in their Jacobean Suite. Up to 17 suppliers will be attending, displaying their new season produce for visitors to sample. This will include game from Jack Smallman; seafood from Selsey Shellfish as well as fruit and vegetables from Clayton Farm Organics, breads from Spinning Wheel Bakers, oils from Sussex Gold Oils, beers and ales from Langham Brewery. All of these producer/suppliers work closely with The Spread Eagle’s Head Chef Gary Morton Jones. In addition attendees will have the chance to win a prize of a complimentary dinner at the hotel, as well as one night stay for two.
12th April – Jesmond Dene House, Newcastle upon Tyne
Maunika Gowardhan, chef and a food writer is running a cooking event for a Ladies Lunch on the 12th of April. She will be showcasing dishes to all who attend followed by a freshly prepared 3 course Indian lunch. 14th April – Harrisons Bar/Restaurant Balham
Patricia Langton, freelance journalist and wine events host, will introduce you to a selection of lesser known grapes and look at their origins in Europe and the New World. You will have the opportunity to taste a comprehensive range of wine styles to enable to you pick the more interesting and original wines from your wine shop or restaurant lists. The session promises to be both enjoyable and informative and is suitable for anyone who enjoys wine. The session runs from 7.30pm – 8.30pm and costs £15.00 per person.
