To celebrate the launch of Giorgio Locatelli’s latest book ‘Made in Sicily’, Refettorio, the City’s Italian Restaurant and directed by the Michelin-starred chef, will be the setting for a Made in Sicily promotion. Priced at £35 for a three-course meal, including coffee and amaretti, the promotion is available now until 10 th December 2011.
During the promotion, Refettorio’s head chef, Alessandro Bay, a former protégé of Locatelli, will produce a special Sicilian enthused taster menu, replicating dishes from the book. Working closely with Refettorio’s sommelier, Antonio Nonzet, Antonio has put together a selection of Sicilian wines, ensuring they complement the ingredients and bring out the best of the dishes. Changing on a regular basis, the menu aims to provide guests with the opportunity to sample first hand top-class cuisine emulated from LocatelliÂ’s book, but not at West End prices.
The new book, ‘Made in Sicily’, is the follow-up to his bestselling 2006 book, Made in Italy and is a collection of classic, yet contemporary dishes taken from different regions of Sicily, exploring the ingredients and history of the island.
Besides the special menu, a Made in Sicily room package has been created and includes the following:

One night’s accommodation
-
A bottle of Prosecco and home-made amaretti biscuits in room upon arrival
