On Tuesday 27th August, Ganymede in Belgravia will host ‘Provenance’, a kitchen takeover by chefs Jordan Johnson, Evan Holliday and Lewis Perks from the Michelin-starred Simpsons in Birmingham.

Founded by Hubert Beatson-Hird and Chef Director Oliver Marlowe, Ganymede is the second venture of the Lunar Pub Company, alongside The Hunter’s Moon in South Kensington and The Apollo Arms in Clapham.

Located on Ebury Street, Ganymede is celebrated for its refined British cuisine, emphasising seasonal ingredients and a carefully curated drinks list.

The pair were introduced to Simpsons and its team by Joshua Branston, the Restaurant Manager at Upstairs in Lichfield, who brings experience from his illustrious career at establishments such as The Harwood Arms to John’s House in Loughborough.

Following a memorable meal at Simpsons, they invited the team and Joshua to take over the Ganymede kitchen for one day, creating a menu that experiments with modern techniques while honouring traditional methods.

On arrival, guests can choose to enjoy a glass of sparkling English wine or a seasonal cocktail. Lunch will offer a five-course tasting menu priced at £125 per person, while the evening brings an eight-course dinner tasting menu for £165 per person.

Diners can expect dishes such as native lobster with tomato, goat curd and marrow, Cornish red mullet with razor clams, courgette and bisque, A5 Wagyu beef tartare with mustard and charcoal, finishing with a Royal sovereign tart with strawberry and apple marigold.

An optional wine pairing, expertly curated by Joshua will complement both menus, featuring selections from Berkmann Wine Cellars.

Speaking of the event, Chef Director Oliver Marlowe says “We’ve been hugely inspired by the team at Simpsons and the way they approach cooking, in particular their focus on supporting local farmers. We can’t wait to bring their menu to Ganymede and offer our customers a Michelin-starred experience. Paired with the exceptional wines selected by Joshua, it’s going to be an incredible menu”.
