Available from 11am every Sunday from March 1st, the menu draws inspiration from the distinct flavours of Naples, hometown of Chef Elia Sebregondi and Director Enzo Mirto.
The set menu is built around a selection of weekend favourites that reflect Enzo and Elia’s upbringing in Campania, known for its rugged coasts and abundant produce.
With fresh breads, pastries and pasta an indelible part of Neapolitan cuisine, Officina 00’s brunch menu features the best the southern Italian region has to offer, such as maccaroni fritti, fried homemade maccaroni with cheddar and pepper, bechamel and peas; oven baked gnocchi alla sorrentina, with smoked mozzarella, tomato and basil which is a classic Sunday Neapolitan dish; and the house sausage roll, here revisited using home-made pork and fennel sausage and accompanied by aubergine caponata.
Chef Elia has also devised the focaccia sando, a colossal sandwich stacked with courgettes ‘alla scapece’, aioli and mint. Topping off the feast will be freshly made bomboloni- perfectly round doughnuts filled with orange custard and drizzled in dark chocolate.
Alongside the brunch dishes, Enzo and the team have devised a wine list exploring the length and breadth of Italy, as well as Prosecco and a selection of cocktails.
Those looking for something softer can opt for a selection of house made sodas, while those in need of a little pick-me-up from the night before can count on Italian espresso and cappuccinos.
Set in the bright, spacious dining room overlooking Whitfield Street, you can take a seat at the kitchen counter for a prime view of the kitchen as they craft and develop a variety of pasta styles in the lab, while groups can sit at Officina’s sharing tables, perfect for parties and weekend celebrations.
Officina 00’s brunch menu is priced at £39 and will be available every Sunday from 1st March, from 11am to 5pm.Bookings can be made at: www.officina00.co.uk
