Diners at Jamie’s Italian restaurants can now sample some of the recipes from his latest book 5 Ingredients – Quick & Easy Food.
Each dish is based on just five key ingredients and each set menu features five starters and five mains, with different options for both lunch and dinner.
Starters from the lunch menu include Creamy Welsh mussels poached in cream and cider, and Pappa al pomodoro pepper and tomato soup. Mains include Lemony courgette linguine, Carrot & grain salad or Sizzling steak & fries. The lunch menu is priced from £11.95.
At dinnertime, diners can enjoy Crispy squid & smashed avo dip, while mains include a Golden herb-crusted pork escalope, Harissa squash salad and Sizzling sirloin with fries. The set dinner menu is priced £15.95.
The recipes for these dishes and more are in Jamie Oliver’s latest cookbook 5 Ingredients – Quick & Easy Food. The book features over 130 recipes for tasty, everyday food created using just five ingredients. Chapters focus on hero foods like chicken, fish, salads, pasta, and sweet things. The emphasis is on quality, rather than quantity of ingredients, to deliver sumptuous flavours with minimum fuss.
The Jamie Oliver Cookery School in Westfield is also running a Quick & Easy cookery lesson to teach students how to cook five family favourites from the book. During the one-day lesson participants learn how to cook Meltin’ Mustardy Beef, Crispy Garlicky Chicken, Quick Asian Fishcakes, Potato & Artichoke Al Forno and Cherry Chocolate Mousse, as well as picking up tips on essential kitchen skills. The first class runs on 6 October, priced £150. For more information see jamieolivercookeryschool.com.
