This month tapas bar and restaurant Salt Yard will be bringing a new Sunday lunch concept to its Borough venue.
Salt Yard’s Sunday Feast menu brings the informal family lunches popular in both Italy and Spain to town, where sharing plates and a table laden with food are the main event of the day.
Salt Yard is in Borough, home to such a lot of great food and it has a warm and inviting atmosphere just like the tapas bars and restaurants of Spain and Italy. Using the finest seasonal ingredients, the new Sunday Feast menus have been inspired by the regional cooking of Tuscany and Seville.
Launching on Mother’s Day weekend, those booking in for the special day will also receive a dessert free of charge for Mum!
Guests can choose from two Sunday Feast menus, both at £35 per person, which also includes a carafe of house wine. Comforting dishes include:
Menu 1
Melanzane Parmigiana
Risotto Bianco
Beef Ragù served with Focaccia
Roast Porchetta served with Roast Baby Potatoes and Braised Chicory
Menu 2
Melanzane Parmigiana
Winter Tomato Salad
Beef Ragù served with Focaccia
Paella to share
(Either sobresada, chorizo & pork belly or prawns, mussels, razor clams & squid)
There’s a comprehensively curated wine list emphasising wines of Italy and Spain including some unusual varieties, as well as a range of house cocktails such as the Winchester Sour and Padron Margarita.
End your meal with a treat from Salt Yard’s dessert menu with artisan gelatos and traditional Spanish churros with chocolate sauce.
The Sunday Feast menue is every Sunday and launches on 19th March, Mother’s Day.
Bookings for Mother’s Day can be made here, and every Sunday following here.
