The Gun pub is relaunching with a full renovation of its interiors and an entirely new food and drink offering.
The Gun, Spitalfields now enjoys high ceilings, a long pewter bar counter with copper finishing and green marble, and an open fire. Plush velvet seating, hand-painted floral murals and intricate design touches make this pub a an attractive space for eating and drinking seven days a week.
The Gun’s new Executive Chef is Jimi Tegerdine and his menu of small plates draws from international influences and features dishes such as Beef and date meatballs; Corn and avo tempura; Seared tuna tataki; and Lamb croquettes (small plates start at £3.50).
The Gun is also launching a new Saturday Brunch menu featuring Vodka and beetroot cured salmon; Spiced chorizo and potato skillet; and a Full English from £7.50. This sits alongside a Brunch cocktail list including a Breakfast Margarita, Bloody Burrito, and a selection of Spritzes (all £6).
Sundays will see The Gun launching a new Sunday Roast menu featuring Herb roasted chicken, 12 hour slow roast rib of beef; and a Slow roast lamb shoulder with all the trimmings.
For those looking for less meaty options there’s a baked hake fillet and a vegan roots and shoots roast on the menu. Roasts start at £14, or guests can opt for a combination of chicken, beef and lamb with all the trimmings at £20 per head. There will also be live jazz performances from Mark Kavuma and friends every Sunday from 5pm.
The Gun also relaunches with an extensive new beer selection crafted to combine a mix of well- known traditional names with up-and-coming London brands alongside premium wines, gins and craft spirits.
The Gun first opened its doors in 1929 and is named after Henry VIII’s artillery factory which was in the vicinity.
