The Duke of Greenwich in the heart of Greenwich, has launched a new winter menu, featuring a selection of Sunday Roasts.

The Duke has quickly become a popular spot in the community, following in the footsteps of its sister pub, The Jolly Gardeners in Vauxhall. 

The Duke’s food is the creation of Jon Kaye, Dan Blucert, and Nick Blucert—the trio behind The Jolly Gardeners. They focus on quality ingredients, craft beer, and supporting local producers. i

The new Sunday Roast menu features a range of dishes, each showcasing a blend of quality and inventive flavour: 

• 28-Day Aged Beef Rump, Yorkshire Pudding – Tender, juicy beef with a perfectly crisp Yorkshire pudding, £24. 

• Crispy Suffolk Pork Loin, Braised Red Onions, Apple Sauce – Pork cooked to perfection with a burst of sweetness, £23. 

• Smoked Beer Can Chicken, Jerk Dumplings – A succulent, smoky twist on the classic roast, with a Caribbean touch, £22. 

• Whole Roast Yellow Squash, Barley, Apricot, and Pine Nuts – A hearty and wholesome vegetarian option, £19. 

• Plant-Based Roast Chicken, Sage and PB Sausage Meat Stuffing – A delicious vegan take on the traditional roast, £21. 

Each roast is accompanied by family-style sides designed for sharing and second helpings. There are beef fat roast potatoes, sweet potato mash, rainbow chard, roasted carrots with fennel seeds, kale, and savoy cabbage, all topped with homemade gravy. 

In keeping with its commitment to local excellence, The Duke partners with South London breweries such as Brew by Numbers, Signal, and Villages Brewery, offering a rotating selection of craft beers. Art lovers should enjoy the contemporary artwork by local artist Stephen Walsh, adding a unique touch to the interior.
