Just in time for the summer season, events caterer rhubarb have launched two brand new menus – virtuous and indulgence menus, served in the VIP boxes at legendary countryside estate, Goodwood.
Goodwood’s official food partner, rhubarb, are giving visitors to the VIP boxes at the racecourse something else to look forward to when enjoying a day at the races, their brand new add-on menus. The menus focus on seasonal ingredients and where possible, the kitchen teams source their produce directly from the Goodwood Estate.
For those looking to keep a trim waistline whilst enjoying the races, the Virtuous menu is a fresh and vibrant summertime menu. We tried a delicious amuse bouche of a seasonal vegetable broth, a snapshot of summer in a glass. The starter of Sumac crusted ironback squash with superfood salad, tenderstem broccoli, pomegranate and orange dressing was equally as tasty.
The Indulgence menu, however, is completely decadent. The fillet of Goodwood Estate beef with 48 hour braised short rib, ceps and cime di rapa was cooked to perfection and served alongside the ultimate chips – beef dripping triple-cooked chips with gooey, melted raclette and saffron aioli. For dessert, we were treated to a salted caramel chocolate fondant with clotted cream ice cream and raspberries.
The “Virtuous and Indulgence Menu†reflects rhubarb’s reputation for providing creative, flavourful food, whatever the setting is. Guests to Goodwood can try the menus as an add-on to any box package, and both guarantee an enjoyable day watching the races.
The Virtuous menu is £185 per person, and the Indulgence menu £250 per person.
