Iconic Soho restaurant 40 Dean Street is celebrating the festive season with the launch of its Christmas menu.
For over twenty years the Soho Italian restaurant, 40 Dean Street, has been serving classic Italian food, one of the last of the independents.
Owned by restauranteur Nima Safaei the independent restaurant’s signature dishes include lobster ravioli and seafood linguine with freshly made pasta.
The restaurant has fed the likes of Brad Pitt and Rupert Everett, as well as the eclectic mix of customers who live and work in vibrant Soho. It’s a not so secret secret that always feels personal,
The well priced dishes are a magnet for locals and visitors alike at any time of year. But there’s no denying this beloved Soho mainstay is particularly magical at Christmas.
This year the team, led by Nima, has pulled out all the seasonal stops with a festive three course set menu.
Diners can choose from an array of authentic and hearty family-style dishes all created using the freshest available seasonal produce.
Dive straight into the starters, which include citrus cured salmon with rocket, pickled shallot & capers dressed with a tomato vinaigrette, and deep fried brie with cranberry jam.
Traditionalists will want the sous vide stuffed turkey wrapped in Parma ham & served with all the trimmings, or perhaps the fillet of venison, poached pears & cauliflower puree with a blackberry & chestnut gravy. Go a bit off -piste with ravioli of lobster, filled with fresh lobster meat in a shellfish & brandy sauce.
Rounding off are classic desserts like chocolate fondant with vanilla ice-cream and vanilla panna cotta topped with homemade mixed berry compote.
And, of course, 40 Dean Street’s twist on the traditional with panettone pudding served with rum & raisin cream.
This feast costs just £59.90 per head, including a welcome glass of Prosecco.
With velvet seating, marble tables and atmospheric lighting, 40 Dean Street is ideal for friends and family, company get togethers and for weary shoppers looking for an oasis away from London’s West End.
