The Barbican Centre, London, will be welcoming the transformation of its Waterside Cafe and Balcony Bistro this September, into brand new eateries. The change is brought in partnership with Compass Group UK & Ireland and will see the creation of a new Barbican Foodhall and Barbican Lounge.
The Barbican Foodhall, on Level G will be a street food style market with floor to ceiling displays of produce, ranging from olives, cheeses, chutneys and relishes to pastas, smoked salmon and sweets. There will also be food stalls and a restaurant on Level G allowing visitors to eat in or take away.
Level 1 will become home to the Barbican Lounge where visitors can drink and dine. And it wouldn’t be the Barbican without art. The Barbican Lounge will be decorated with unique light installations by Beirut designers PSLab plus plant arrangements designed by RHS Chelsea Flower Show winner Kate Gould.
At present the launch date hasn’t been finalised yet so we can only look forwards to mid-September.
