Camino Victoria will have a ground floor bar with 60 covers, a 100-cover restaurant on the first floor and a heated street level terrace with a further 60 covers open all year round.

Open for lunch and dinner Mondays to Saturdays, Victoria is the second launch this year for Camino founder and follows on from the late January opening of Camino Farringdon on Turnmill Street.

Both were previously Ibérica sites and Richard and team have kept some of the design features originally done by the internationally renowned Lázaro Rosa-Violán Studio from Barcelona. At the same time, Victoria site is seeing major changes, not least in the ground floor bar, brightened and opened up by clever use of warm colours, signage and vibrant tiles. 

Upstairs in the restaurant, an open kitchen pass will add an element of theatre to the dining experience, a perfect showcase for group executive chef Nacho del Campo. Nacho is creating several new dishes to celebrate the launch and these include Arroz alla llauna, a Catalan rice dish from the Tarragona region to the south, named after the shallow square tin pan it is cooked in (llauna).

Made with Secreto Ibérico, artichokes, cuttlefish and cep mushrooms, it has a crispy base and delicious texture. Nacho is also sourcing tender Cazurra beef from Spain’s north-west, predominantly from Galicia and Asturias, which will be available as Rib-eye on the bone.  

New aperitivo specials will include a twist on the classic Agua de Valencia, made with Tanqueray Seville Orange Gin, El Bandarra Aperitif, orange juice and Cava Reserva. Victoria will also have an extended wine list. 

Camino originally opened in King’s Cross in 2007 and there are now three bars and restaurants in Monument, Shoreditch and Farringdon. In 2023, Richard opened a sister bar, Bar Rioja, dedicated to wines from the Rioja region of Spain next to the King’s Cross site. Later this spring, Richard and team will open Pintxito in Covent Garden Piazza, a 35-cover bar inspired by the Basque country. 

Camino Victoria will be on soft launch from Monday, 24th to Wednesday, 26th March with 50% off food for lunch and dinner.
