On November 11th, Chef Tom Brown from the renowned Michelin-starred restaurant Cornerstone, will be unveiling his new restaurant Pearly Queen
This oyster bar and restaurant will be at 44 Commercial Street, E1 6LT, in the heart of Shoreditch.
Pearly Queen draws inspiration from the vibrant history, heritage, and fish cookery traditions of London’s East End. The menu boasts a selection of oysters, shellfish, and inventive fish dishes, paired with a unique cocktail menu curated by Max Venning of Three Sheets fame.
The menu caters to both leisurely meals and quick bites – seafood lovers can enjoy UK-sourced oysters, seasonal specials, and small plates like Cockle bhajis and Prawn Scotch Eggs. Main dishes include Grilled lobster in XO lobster butter and Whole plaice in a roast chicken sauce, alongside the awe-inspiring ‘100-layer’ cuttlefish lasagne.
Chef Tom Brown says
“The last few years for the restaurant trade have been about survival, and I see Pearly Queen as an expression of that spirit. It’s the result of a massive team effort, championing the British seafood industry, much like those early Pearly Queen traders who transformed something raw into something beautiful. Pearly Queen is a celebration of a city slowly coming back to life, a place for stolen moments of indulgence, whether it’s a pint and oyster after work or a night to remember. I can’t wait to open her doors.”
Pearly Queen officially opens its doors on November 11th at 44 Commercial Street, Shoreditch, E1 6LT.
