SASHIMI AND ISHIYAKI TO FITZROVIA

Critically acclaimed Islington favourite, Hot Stone, has opened the doors to its second restaurant, bringing its refined sushi, sashimi and signature hot stone Wagyu and Kobe steak to Fitzrovia.

Set to open for in-restaurant dining on 17th May, in line with current government guidance, the restaurant will be offering delivery and collection of its at home menu from today, 11th March.

Having won acclaim for its Japanese food at its debut site in Islington’s Chapel Market, the Fitzrovia restaurant aims to offer a unique sensory experience.

With over 19 years of experience in some of the city’s most prestigious Japanese restaurants including Tsukiji, Nobu and Zuma, Chef Padam has created a menu including ingredients sourced from Japan and rarely seen in the UK.

As well as being one of only eight restaurants in the UK to serve certified Kobe beef, diners can expect freshly grated wasabi;  Sanpuku, the finest nori sourced from Japan’s Ariake Sea; Koshihikari sushi rice and aged soy sauce.

At home delivery includes The Chirashi box – seafooddressed in truffle and caviar alongside a range of sushi, new-style sashimi and carpaccio plus house favorites seared fatty tuna with red jalapeno, crunchy Hot Stone roll and 24pcs omakase box.

The menu is available to order online from Hot Stone’s website and also via Supper and UberEATS to select London postcodes Thursday to Sunday, 5pm – 9pm. All orders placed until 13th March will receive a complimentary bottle of sake.

Once the restaurant is able to open its doors, diners can expect Hot Stone’s signature Ishiyaki menu– inspired by the ancient Japanese art of cooking on a searing-hot stones. Sear your cut of premium Kobe, A5 Wagyu and on black tiger prawns on 400°C sizzling stones brought to the table.

As well as Hot Stone signatures like the 48-hours marinated black cod, the new restaurant will offer dishes exclusive to Fitzrovia including an A5 Japanese Wagyu & Uni Don, featuring the highest grade A5 Japanese wagyu beef with uni, Ikura, truffle, tsukemono and Koshihikari rice and ponzu sauce.

Sake will be spotlighted on the drinks menu with an extensive list accompanied by Old World wines, as well as Japanese spirits, whiskies and beers.
