The new OXO Tower Bar is now open, giving Londoners an iconic place to enjoy a cocktail or two.
Situated on the 8th floor of the the OXO Tower building, the OXO Tower Bar offers stunning views over London, a warm atmosphere to relax in and an impressive cocktail list created by Ian Goodman and his team.
To launch the OXO Tower Bar bar manager Ian Goodman and his team have devised a special cocktail list of over 40 drinks. House-made ingredients such as almond and raspberry ripple syrup, lime cordial, sloe and damson gins and OXO’s very own brandied cherries feature in many of the cocktails on the menu.
The interior of the bar has been decked out in a ‘classic cruise liner’ style mixed with flashes of modernity by Shaun Clarkson.
It’s the history of the riverside that has inspired the drinks on offer at the OXO Tower Bar, so you’ll see snappily named cocktails like the Pleasure Boat. Top cocktails to try include the Cumber Sour (Hendricks gin and fresh cucumber muddled with celery bitters, lemon, gum syrup and light anise, topped with a fennel and celery foam) and Little Carmine (Campari and Beefeater London dry gin shaken with rhubarb liqueur and fresh orange juice).
Naturally there’s also a food menu at the OXO Tower Bar created by Brasserie head chef Deon Jansen. The menu offers a quick, more casual alternative to dining in the Brasserie and main restaurant at the OXO Tower. Bar snacks like Paprika spiced chips, truffle honey mini chorizo and smoked anchovies all sound very tempting!
