Madame F recently launched a zesty prosecco, which can now be found in Sainsbury’s stores.
Madame F is a range of three vegan wines plus prosecco, consisting of brave original blends, created in collaboration with Queer Britain.
The purpose-driven partnership was built to celebrate the creative community of Queer Britain and to support the nation’s first LGBTQ+ museum, based in King’s Cross.
Madame F wines are also the sponsors of the Madame F Queer Britain art award, pledging £30,000 per year to the award and the museum, championing queer creativity, education and inclusivity. The winners can be viewed here.
Madame F is a wine brand built on principles of creativity, passion and originality.
While Queer Britain is a charity and LGBTQ+ museum. It is a place for all regardless of sexuality or gender identity, to find out about the culture they have been born into, have chosen or seek to understand.
Queer people have impacted every part of culture, yet all too often their lives have been written in the margins of history books.
Queer Britain and Madame F believe that queer people’s stories should be understood by all and celebrated in all their rich diversity in their own, dedicated home.
The Queer Britain Madame F Award was first launched in October 2021, pledging £30,000 to champion LGBTQ+ artists and support the Queer Britain museum. The theme was inspired by illustrator Justin Kemp, who designed the iconic “Susy the Frog” image featured on the Madame F bottle.
Entrants sent in illustrations, paintings, drawings and photographs that celebrate the theme of Queer Creativity, along with a statement explaining what that means to them. This year’s art award attracted over 120 entries and the winning designs are now displayed at the museum.
About Madame F Prosecco
Madame F is very excited to introduce the prosecco. The Madame F Prosecco DOC Treviso Extra Dry is comprised of 90% Glera and 10% Chardonnay grapes, offering the perfect combination of a quality sparkling and an easy drinking wine.
It’s ideal as an aperitif and perfect with fresh cheese and fish dishes.
I’ve enjoyed it with a selection of cheeses such as delicate Gorgonzola, french brie and some shavings of Parmesan for the saltiness paired with green organic grapes.
In colour the prosecco is pale straw yellow. It’s quite aromatic in fragrance, reminiscent of freshly cut apples and a touch of zest. The taste is slightly sweet and very well balanced.
The Madam F Prosecco is available to buy in Ocado, the Queer Britain Museum and now Sainsbury’s. Prosecco will be on offer (£9 down from £12) in Salisbury’s prior to some important dates.
- 24th September to the 14th October
- 3rd November to 31st December
In addition to the prosecco Madame F also offers a wine range, consisting of the dark fruit Madame F Rouge, Creamy Madame F White and a delicate Madame F Rosé. Previously reviewed here.
