The Sumatran Orangutan is under threat of extinction. There are only 6,000 wild orangutans left in the wild, due to mass deforestation. Orang Utan Coffee has produced a flavorsome, sustainable coffee, which will help to prevent deforestation.

Their coffee is being launched in the UK and Ireland, and will be exclusive to Waitrose. It is an ethically sourced coffee – grown on sustainable plantations.

As well as growing the beans sustainably, Orang Utan Coffee have promised that for each kilogram of green coffee produced, the farmer will receive a premium of €0.50 – and a €0.50 donation is made to the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation.

This gives the consumer the ability to enjoy their coffee, knowing that they are benefitting the endangered Orangutans.
