Gunpowder is launching a new Summer Terrace at the Tower Bridge restaurant, complete with a new Terrace Menu. Launching on Thursday, 13th June, the Gunpowder Summer Terrace will open daily from 12pm.
Founder Harneet Baweja and executive chef Nirmal Save have created light seafood dishes such as Grilled wild black water oyster in curry leaf butter with fish roe & garlic and Pickled Scottish rainbow trout, red onions, pepper, kadi ceviche especially for the new terrace.
For the meat lovers, there is Nargisi kofta – spiced black pork scotch egg and, for the vegetarians, the ever-popular Chutney cheese sandwich returns for the summer season.
Accompanying the food is a range of refreshing drinks including Drunken Chaiwala (iced masala chai, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, with or without gin) and chilled biodynamic wines available by the glass or bottle.
To finish, Harneet’s favourite dessert, soft serve custard will come with a selection of toppings including toasted jaggery sesame seeds and is also available in a beer float.
The Terrace Menu will be served daily from 12-5pm while in the evenings, Gunpowder’s a la carte menu will be available.
Gunpowder Tower Bridge takes bookings for the restaurant, including pre and post theatre dining for those seeing A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Bridge Theatre nearby.
