Bingham Riverhouse, Richmond, has revealed their new menus for the upcoming festive season. .
Lunch throughout November and December will be warming winter favourites including rich guinea fowl breast with parsnips, honey spiced prunes and bread sauce, and an egg custard creme brûlée with shortbread and nutmeg ice cream.
The festive a la carte menu includes favourite such as the venison saddle with potato terrine and roasted pears, chestnut dumplings with cauliflower and wild mushrooms and a suitably seasonal gingerbread parfait with Christmas pudding, torched meringue and a bitter chocolate sorbet to finish.
The Riverhouse is also launching a festive Sunday menu and a festive afternoon tea, including rich turkey and cranberry sandwiches, Christmas pudding choux buns, chestnut Yule logs and an amazing pear and stem ginger cake.
On Christmas Eve there will be a special lunch and dinner menu including a confit duck rilette with spiced orange chutney, cranberries and toasted brioche, whilst the a la carte evening menu boasts 5 courses; mushroom foam with parmesan custard and garlic crisps, and a Christmas pudding parfait with muscovado meringue and a gingerbread ice cream.
On the 25th, the Christmas Day tasting menu includes 5 courses. Seared orkney scallops with pickled leek for starter and roasted goose with spiced prunes, roast potatoes and a bread sauce will feature on the mains.
The Christmas Day garden rooms menu will allow you to choose between options such as corn fed turkey with pork and apple stuffing and truffle potatoes, and an incredible finisher of Christmas pudding trifle with raspberry jam.
To finish the year with a bang the team at Bingham Riverhouse have created a special menu to ring in the new year.
Smoked haddock risotto with sprout tops and a soft bath cheese and roasted beef sirloin with wild mushrooms kick off the lunch menu, whilst the evening menu see’s a 5 course tasting menu. Sea bream tartare with turnip and picked cucumber, venison saddle with roasted pears and clementine parfait are highlights.
Vegan foodies out there won’t be disappointed as the Riverhouse have included a plant-based range for their Christmas Day tasting menu including a chestnut roast with parsnip and burnt apple puree and a Christmas pudding creme brûlée with vegan ice cream.
