Get creative with the kids for Easter or try a new skill – simply share your unusual hot cross bun recipes on Instagram or Facebook or give making one a go, sharing your pictures of the finished product
Cowcross Yards and Urban Food Fest have made the decision to temporarily close the weekly street food market, and all pop-up street food events including YUM: Hot Cross @ Cowcross Yards (which was due to take place on 2 April) will be postponed.
However, fear not hot cross bun lovers, Cowcross Yards will be bringing the YUM: Hot Cross @ Cowcross Yards home to you.
This Easter, in homage to Britain’s best-loved bun, Cowcross Yards is setting Londoners the challenge to’Show Us Ya Buns’.
Get creative with the kids or try a new skill by baking your own twist on the hot cross bun, and for those who are unable to bake, you can still create and share a delicious recipe.
How Does It Work?
Take the Cowcross Yards special recipe – see Cowcross Yards Instagram, Facebook or website
Add your twist – either create an unusual recipe or go the extra mile and actually bake a bun using the ingredients that you already have in your cupboards – sugared almonds, popping candy, hot fudge, peanut butter, candy floss, whatever you like.
Share your images/recipes on Instagram or Facebook tagging @cowcrossyards with the hashtag #CowcrossShowUsYaBuns
Points go to those buns that are mouth-watering yet extraordinary flavours, or fun presentations! Go on and show us ya buns!
