London’s newest vegan street food pop up is running until 31st August from New York-born and London-based plant-based eatery By Chloe together with their friends at Club Cultured.
Open 7 days a week in Clapham Common (50 Abbeville Rd, SW4 9NF), By Chloe and Club Cultured will be showcasing a range of exciting new dishes featuring their tempeh.
Tasty bites on offer include Kimchini Balls (stuffed with vegan cheese, gochujang, spring onions and homemade kimchi) and Fried Tempeh Wings (glazed in buffalo sauce and accompanied by maple-butter glazed cornbread).
Main dishes will feature Tempeh Pizza, Grilled Quinoa Burger, and the sell-out Gado Gado salad – an authentic Balinese dish featuring tempeh seasoned with peanut, ginger and turmeric, atop crisp and refreshing layers of sweetcorn, shredded purple cabbage, bean sprouts, toasted tender stem and kale, finished with a tofu lime crema dressing.
The 100% plant-based menu has been designed by Club Cultured, which was created by James, Harry & Connor: three friends with a passion for plant-based food.
Inspired by their travels east, the boys learnt how to make authentic tempeh (a traditional Indonesian plant-based protein made from fermented soybeans) from a master in Bali.
Over the last 2 years, their popularity has surged from humble beginnings, from learning to develop products at home to supplying restaurants across the UK and recently opening London’s first ever tempeh factory.
The pop-up will be taking part in the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme, giving visitors 50% off Monday-Wednesday..
Tickets are being sold in 2s / 3s / 4s and guests will be seated together as a bubble.
Available booking times are 6.30pm and 8.30pm and walk-ins are welcome. Bookings can be made online.
