West 4th, a new Canadian inspired brunch restaurant and wine bar is opening in London this October.
Opening in Parsons Green, off the New Kings Road, West 4th will bring a new style of brunch offering with takes on the quintessential Canadian staple Poutine, as well as pancake and waffle stacks (flavours include ‘Campfire Smores’ and ‘Lockdown Banana Bread’), which can be paired with healthy dishes such as acai bowls.
There will also be an interactive ‘mix n match Eggs Benny’ so customers can pair multiple variations
Also exclusive will be a fun DIY Bloody Mary bar with numerous different twists and toppings so guests can create their own masterpiece
Complementing the contemporary bar offering will be a selection of cocktails and a carefully curated portfolio of wine, which can be paired with charcuterie boards and small plates
Newcomers to the scene, Livia Boumeester and Louisa Stevenson Hamilton both left their London corporate jobs to travel abroad and were enamoured by elements of the famous West 4th Avenue in Canada.
Noticing a gap and for this relaxed dining and socialising experience in London, the pair were inspired to recreate this London.
All dishes will feature the highest quality, locally sourced ingredients and will be overseen by head chef and newcomer Joseph Berney. At the age of 22 Berney has already held roles at prestigious restaurants such as Scott’s and Clipstone, and was previously head pastry chef at Bowley’s at The Plough, in Kent.
Paying homage to the surroundings of Vancouver’s beautiful coastline and local hotspots, the interior design will boast a natural, relaxed colour scheme. Reinforcing this narrative, the decor will incorporate archives of iconic Vancouver landmarks as an ode to the co-founders’ travels and provide the ideal setting for its guests to enjoy this inventive and elevated dining experience.
