The countdown for the big four-day-weekend (yes I’m talking about Easter) is gearing up. So here are some ideas to prolong the happiness and maybe you’ll even feel generous enough to gift them too.
The nation’s favourite Easter treat Cream Egg (£6.70) is given a tea twist by the British tea brand Bird & Blend Tea Co. The tea is vegan and sugar-free. The brand is sustainable which means the tea also comes in biodegradable packaging. The tea ingredients include Sri Lankan Black tea, cocoa nibs, cocoa shells, jasmine blossom and sunflower petals plus natural flavouring.
Farhi a brand specialising in dried fruit, chocolate and nuts has launched a few tempting items for Easter. The list is endless: Jelly Fried Eggs gift box, £9 – Handmade in Britain, these jelly and foam sweets are a treat for the taste buds and a delicious alternative sweet treat to chocolate. Pair it with tempting Easter inspired teas by one of my favourite organic French tea brand Tea Heritage. The brand specialises in theme inspired tea bags shaped for the occasion (RRP £6.30 for x5 tea bags). For Easter they made cute lamb, bunny, cloud and flower shapes. The tea comes in a number of flavours: earl grey, English breakfast, orange blossom and almond green tea, violet and raspberry green tea and Queens organic rooibos.
For classic Easter lovers we of course have Easter egg ideas by Janice Wong, an artisan chocolate brand that creates confectionary to inspire. They just launched their brand-new Easter collection: a seriously decadent range of gifts including: Easter Egg Chocolate Bon Bons and Janice Wong’s Bean to Bar Chocolate.
The Janice Wong Easter Egg Chocolate Bon Bons, where art meets design includes five unique egg-shaped chocolate bon bons, which have all been hand painted and crafted to perfection in a section of flavors including: Praline Pop rocks, Pistachio, Strawberry, Popcorn and Basil.
Janice Wong’s Pure Imagination Bean to Bar Chocolate which is lovingly handcrafted will also make for a show-stopping present this Easter. Available in a range of flavours including Caramel Milk Sea Salt, Ginger Flower, Chai, Coconut Curry Milk Chocolate and Laksa Leaf Lemongrass.
Finally if you fancy something own the road you’ll be tempted by Tesco Finest new flavour range of hot cross buns. This year they made them for everyone including two plant based options. The vegan options include Tesco Plant Chef Fruity Hot Cross Buns (£1.60) along with the Tesco Plant Chef Chocolate & Orange Hot Cross Buns (£1.60).
While the normal Finest range has Red Velvet, chocolate and orange, Tesco Finest Triple Chocolate Hot, Tesco Finest Free From Chocolate Orange Hot Cross Buns and the savoury option of Cheese and Caramelised Onion Chutney Hot Cross Buns (£1.60).
For something slightly different but just as exciting Lakrids by Bulow has created an exciting Easter range. There is the original – sweet liquorice and creamy milk chocolate all surrounded by a fine layer of liquorice powder presented in an Egg (£29.99 for 480g). It’s creamy and addictive.
There is also Crispy Caramel (£10.99 for 125g) but in a new stylish look. Its beautiful, speckled light brown shell with silky dulche chocolate blends perfectly together with liquorice powder and a core of soft liquorice plus sea salt flakes. It’s the flawless alternative to traditional Easter eggs. The flavours come in a variety of packs including mixed and gift sets, available to purchase in Selfridges and Lakrids by Bulow.
