The Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy will be bringing a taste of Thailand to the UK this September, hosting two pop ups for a limited time at the iconic London landmark Selfridges.
The pop ups will be situated across the Foodhall and homeware department, shoppers visiting the flagship store, located on popular Oxford Street, will be able to discover the very best that Thailand has to offer, without leaving London.
From Thursday 19th to Monday 23rd September 2024, Selfridges Foodhall will be home to the some of the most popular Thai produce, all of which has received the highly regarded Thai SELECT award; a mark of certification presented by The Royal Thai Government’s Ministry of Commerce, to guarantee the authenticity of Thai food products and restaurants in Thailand and overseas.
Friday 20th September will also see Sebby Holmes, Chef and Owner of Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant, Farang London, host a one-off cooking demonstration in which he will create one his most popular dishes, Prawn Miang Bite. Foodies hoping to score a sample of the tasty plate should head to the Foodhall from 2pm onwards to avoid missing out.
If delicious food and drink is not enough, The Royal Thai Embassy will also be showcasing the much-loved country’s best, furniture and decorative home items from Monday 16th – Sunday 22nd September 2024.
The products which have been designed with sustainability in mind, will be located in the homeware section of Selfridges, Oxford Street, the weeklong pop up will feature everything from Thingg Sarn Lamps and Hoog-Moore Woven Chairs to Pasaya Urban Art Rugs, all handcrafted by Thailand’s best designers
