To coincide with National Chocolate Week 11th-17th October, London restaurant Clos Maggiore has created a special chocolate laden tasting menu.
Marcellin Marc, head chef at Clos Maggorie, has designed a six-course menu to demonstrate the different ways chocolate can be used to enhance both sweet and savoury dishes.
Clos Maggiore was named the second most romantic restaurant by Harden’s London Restaurants 2011 guide, so why not treat your special someone to a chocolate themed dinner date?
On the menu will be; English Beetroot Gazpacho, White Chocolate with Black Olive Tuile with Scallop Tartare & Green Apple; Roasted Foie Gras from ‘Les Landes’ with Poached Rhubarb, Dark Chocolate & Hazelnut Biscotti; Pan Roasted Icelandic Halibut with Wilted Lettuce, White Chocolate & Caviar Beurre Blanc; Roasted Duke of Westminster Estate Venison Fillet with Swede Gratin & Bitter Chocolate Sauce; Valrhona Chocolate Fondant with Griottine Cherry Sorbet; Mocha Coffee & Chocolate Petit Fours.
The menu is priced at £55 or £95 paired with wine for each course.
